Two of my absolute heroes are coming together for an evening of crafting and nattering, and to lead us in working on some sewing skills! What more could you ask for…. oh, apart from the 10% off in store and a glass of bubbly!
Join Bronwyn from ethical womenswear brand Lowie, Helen from sewing blog Stitch My Style and me, Charlie from Offset Warehouse, for a creative craft evening learning how to appliqué with eco fabrics. You can let your creative juices flow with a glass or two of prosecco while you sew and enjoy 10% off in the Lowie store on the night.
Whether you’re a seasoned sewer or have little experience, spend a fun and relaxing few hours in this hands-on class in appliqué. You will take away with you a finished garment to keep and wear, and some sewing skills!

What You’ll Learn
We’ll teach you easy to learn hand-stitching techniques so you can upcycle an existing garment or buy a basic t-shirt or sweatshirt (or something more interesting!) from Lowie on the night.
We’ll provide a range of ethical textiles but feel free to bring your own appliqué fabrics too. We’ll have stencils in the themes of fruit, sea life, plants or geometric or design your own imagery.
* Pick a base garment to work on to – either bring your own, or buy a delicious Lowie garment with your 10% discount on the day to work onto.
* Plan a design
* Select some yummy Offset Warehouse fabrics to use for embellishment
* Learn techniques such as reverse appliqué and back basting
Your mentors for the evening:
Helen from Stitch My Style is a blogger with her own youtube channel telling us all about her dress-making exploits, sewing tutorials and tips. Helen will be your head teacher for the evening and will be a font of crafting information.
Design Director of Lowie, Bronwyn Lowenthal is your host for the evening. Since 2002 Lowie has been producing fashion with a conscience, known especially for colourful knits and bold prints, Bronwyn also hand picks fashion and home collections from other sustainable brands to sell in her two London stores.
Moi – Charlie Ross! I’m the Director of Offset Warehouse where you can find one of the largest ranges of ethical textiles available online. My goal is to sell the most beautiful, hand-crafted and fairly-sourced fabrics, trims and threads from across the globe.
